We support the organizations “Lichtblick Hasenbergl” and “Kölner Appell gegen Rassismus.”
Lichtblick Hasenbergl
This organization specializes in caring for children, teenagers, and young adults from socially disadvantaged families. Currently, they offer 200 places for individuals ranging from 5 months to 25 years old.
The program begins with mother-child training and kindergarten, continues throughout school years, helps young people with vocational training, and supports them until they are securely established in the workplace.
An affiliated family center offers mothers and fathers practical German language courses, basic computer classes, and assistance with everyday challenges and securing their livelihoods.
Kölner Appell gegen Rassismus e.V.
For nearly 40 years, this organization has been an integral part of civil society in Cologne, promoting peaceful coexistence between long-time and new residents. As a recognized intercultural center, Kölner Appell is a point of contact especially for refugees and migrants, providing practical integration support with counseling and educational programs.
Education is the key to social participation and successful integration. That’s why Kölner Appell especially supports disadvantaged children and teenagers with tutoring and counseling, helping them achieve educational qualifications tailored to their needs.
