Code of Conduct of Constantin Entertainment

We want to inspire and entertain. This is what distinguishes us as one of Germany’s leading independent production houses. This is also the philosophy behind our close, trusting, and long-term collaboration with the best creative minds.

Both creative and economic success are at the core of what we do. Closely tied to this is our sense of social responsibility. An open, fair approach as well as responsible, ethical behavior within the company, towards business partners, society, and the environment form a fundamental part of Constantin Entertainment. Compliance with laws and regulations is a matter of course for us and is specifically defined in our compliance guidelines. In addition, as our shared code of conduct—reflecting both our company philosophy and our commitment to climate and environmental protection—we have adopted the following Code of Conduct, which we are committed to upholding. Central to this is a working environment free from prejudice and discrimination, marked by respect and based on personal responsibility, integrity, and everyone’s freedom.

Company Philosophy

At Constantin Entertainment, we strive to work in an environment characterized by fairness, mutual respect, and openness. For this, we have agreed upon the following rules for working with one another, which are binding for all Constantin staff, regardless of their position or area of work:

We interact with each other respectfully and without prejudice. We ensure fair treatment of each other and value the contributions of our employees and colleagues.

We foster a working culture where even critical questions are heard by leadership and management; no one needs to fear repercussions for addressing grievances. Employees are assessed solely based on their performance.

We encourage our staff to work independently and take responsibility. Every employee acts in the best interest of the company and is free to take initiative and shape their own role.

Our staff act and communicate transparently and openly. Everyone works for the success of all Constantin colleagues, and thus for the success of the company.

We practice a collegial and team-oriented culture. We all work toward the same goal: the success of the company, but also to ensure our enjoyment of our work and our collaboration.

We support and promote our staff—they are at the heart of our success. Alongside individual development, special strategic importance is attached to the sustainable promotion of new talent.

Diversity is key to the success of our work. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination or abuse of power in our work environment. Any misconduct will have consequences.

We promote diversity and inclusion: Differences and diversity—such as in gender, background, and personality—make us stronger. Different approaches to tasks and varying perspectives lead us to the most creative and best solutions.

We stand for equal opportunity in selection, hiring, and career advancement for all employees, and we comply with regulations ensuring fair working conditions, including those concerning remuneration, working hours, and privacy protection. We are actively committed to gender balance in leadership and management positions. To promote equal opportunity, we also offer coaching and mentoring programs.

Any staff members affected by harassment, intimidation, discrimination, insults, abuse, or humiliation—especially on the grounds of skin color, religion, appearance, sexual identity, age, disability, nationality, or gender—can always contact our designated person of trust confidentially, or the independent industry helpline below:

Every report of misconduct will be investigated by these neutral bodies, and a thorough clarification will be sought. Proven misconduct will always lead to employment-related consequences.

Everyone at Constantin Entertainment is responsible for ensuring that these rules are observed. Our managers serve as role models and always treat all employees with respect, openness, and fairness. They also foster the development of employees according to their strengths and weaknesses.

Climate and environmental protection are very important to us. That is why we have committed ourselves to meeting at least the requirements for Green Shooting and the standards of the Green Charter of the European Producers Club in our productions in Germany. Beyond this, we take measures in resource management and materials procurement, in order to become more sustainable both within and outside our productions. We also seek regular external advice on these topics. Every employee shares responsibility for environmental protection in their area of work and is obliged to adhere to environmental laws, regulations, and standards. Our short-term goal is to make all our activities climate neutral.

Scope: This Code of Conduct applies worldwide to Constantin Entertainment GmbH, including all productions carried out by the company.
